Applications Results for the 2008 2nd Additional ISSM Extra-Funding for RAS

APSSM Secretariat received 4 applications for the 2008 ISSM 2nd Additional Extra-Funding for APSSM from May 20, 2008 to Jun. 23, 2008. The titles of these 4 projects are as follows;
Secretary General’s Opinion
1. The 12th Biennial Meeting of the Asia Pacific Society for Sexual Medicine - P Ganesan Adaikan (Singapore)
2. The 26th Annual Meeting of Korean Andrological Society - The Korean Andrological Society
⇒ According to these two proposals, the 12th Biennial Meeting of the Asia Pacific Society for Sexual Medicine and the 26th Annual Meeting of Korean Andrological Society will be held in 2009, not this year 2008. Therefore, I recommend you to re-submit your application for 2009 ISSM Extra-Funding in the coming year.
3. The mechanism study of vascular endothelium-derived hyperpolarizing factor affect on the Penis erectile function -Dr. Lu Li (China)
4. The effect of caffeine on diabetic erectile function - Dr. Yutian Dai (China)
⇒These two applications are also basically inadequate for ISSM Extra Fund for RAS. As APSSM Secretariat announced, the ISSM Grants are meant to provide the regional societies with extra funds to accomplish the society's projects at a continental level. Funding for individual research (project) is not the scope of this grant. The personal research project was not approved in the previous application. Therefore, I recommend you to re-submit your application for 2009 APSSM Research Grant next year.
Final Announcement
APSSM Secretariat will close the application project for the 2008 ISSM 2nd Additional Extra-Funding for APSSM in this situation. We hope to receive the new applications for the 2009 ISSM Extra-Funding for RAS until Nov. 30, 2008. ISSM Funding policy by Industry Quality Partners Program was changed by the decision of the Executive Committee of ISSM Feb. 14, 2008 as follows;
ISSM Funding for RAS will be allocated to each RAS with $50,000 only on 2009 and no general funding on 2010. Any extra funding will be given by request only on 2008 and 2009 and all funding will be given by request only on 2010 by the decision of the Executive Committee of ISSM Feb. 14, 2008.
